THE CASE OF SOLAR ENERGY - MY PERSPECTIVE

When you mention solar energy, why do people only think you are talking about bulk infrastructure?

Solar is more than that. Solar is modern technology driven by local innovation.

In fact, the solar revolution in Africa today is driven by small solar lighting solutions wired to Pay As You Go (PAYG) software and hardware. It has less or 'nothing' to do with bulk infrastructure!!!

First and foremost, nobody pays for it, it’s just there and for the next ten billion years humans can and will be able to tap it. Interestingly, developing solar energy may seem like a no brainier but there are legitimate concerns when it comes to the capabilities of it and its implementation.

Over the years, there have been a lot of arguments concerning solar energy which ranges from the cost involved where the general notion is that it’s too high when adopted. But from further readings and research, it has been identified that, there are different ways for calculating costs and the alternative methods also doesn’t compare easily to each other.

There’s also been the case of how feasible it is to generate power when the sun shines on them. Other factors such as its storage, its accompanying environmental costs are all valid points in the argument for and against the case of solar energy but in my opinion, I believe the positives outweighs the negatives.

The Government of Ghana and for that matter most African governments in my opinion doesn't believe in solar energy, it is rather the citizens who do.

I SEE LIFE, WHAT DO YOU SEE?

Often to get inspired, you need to remind yourself of the end-results of your labors. When it comes to working out, you need to see what the end-results of your healthy self are going to look like.

One Saturday, I woke up and prepared for my weekend walk/run up. Honestly this particular day was a tough one for me because the previous day had been a hectic one. At one point, I decided not to even go for the run up. After wondering around in the room for a while, I gathered all the energy and motivation to go.

I then set my steps calculator target to challenge myself for the results I was looking at over the period set. Now I get out of my room and hit the road. With my headphones intact and music playlist set, I was ready to make those steps count.

Now let me get to the theme of my post. During the walk, I was still keeping tabs on the target set. along the line, something caught my attention. Initially it didn't trigger to me but something pricked me to stop and take a few steps back to confirm what i had briefly seen.

So I obeyed the voice and boom there it was. I am sure you might have asked yourself, what the photo attached to this post was meant for? Well that actually sums up this short post and main theme.

From the title, I SEE LIFE, I continued to ask the question, What Do You See? Most often than not, things around us in one way or the other tell and teaches us about how life should be or is in order to continue living ours especially where you are thinking of giving up at a point.

This tree which bears oranges may seem to be dead to the eyes when you pass by it. It had no leaves and it looked more of a dead tree than a living one. I am sure a few of you reading might be alluding it to some scientific backing and all but for me, I chose to see it from a different point of life.

What did it teach me? It taught me to see life even in the most dead situations you can think of and continue to bear your fruits. Give yourself the extra push till you know your body cant hold you any longer. That is why I captioned this post about this photo about me seeing life.

Back to my walk, the target set eventually was met and even exceeded it to my amazement. I felt the pain and all but gradually, I am working the body to the best of my abilities. Self motivation on any day is key in keeping fit.

Cheers and thanks for passing by.

WHEN BEING TRUTHFUL TURNS SOUR

I can remember from one of my few Sunday school sessions' teachings telling us when we were young to always uphold the case of truthfulness.

The good book as well admonished each and every one to speak the truth at all times and the truth shall set us free.

This in some cases doesn't bind considering the human facet of life where at certain points, the lie will rather exonerate you out of a situation that should have been worse if the truth had been said.
Life as always has it's own way of teaching is lessons to build our stature as human beings. Experiences on the other hand, is the documentary tool for which we fall on when we need some form of reference.

I am sure you'll be wondering what I am driving at at all? Well full details to me won't be of much relevance to this post.
One will then ask, what then is the relevance for this post? BE TRUTHFUL in all dealings even if it'll cost you your job, salary, etc. especially when there is a clear conscience towards what you're doing or who you're dealing with.

Another experience of life made me to appreciate life in another state. I helped a friend and something arose, in reporting, I chose the truth for which superiors escalated what wasn't supposed to be an issue in the first place to be a third world war brouhaha.
Sometime down the line, I was vindicated and all along, the friend who actually lost it all because of me choosing the truth, was actually backing me and was wishing I wasn't affected in anyway.
Immediately I arranged a meet up, and we reconnected. We have been more closer than before and life goes on.

I know I hardly share personal digs of my life around but I thought I shared this to I hope inspire someone.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. See you later when I have another thing interesting to post.

A very lazy blogger like me so kindly bare with me. Lol !!!

Cheers!!

WHATSAPP MY STATUSES!!

Technology no doubt has created the avenue for fast dissemination of information whether it being on the positive note or on the negative aspect of anything. In times past, it was always difficult to get information either it being a request, wishes, ones current state of being and many more that you can think of.

WHATSAPP

Mobile telephony over say a few decades has really evolved from what it used to be the fundamental purpose for which it was. Some years back, all what people needed a mobile device like the mobile phone was to make calls basically. It then got some enhancements where you could send messages (sms), then later multimedia messages with some low resolution photos.

I am sure at least if you leave in the now age, you will all be the best ones to tell me how important the mobile phone is to some of you. Well I heard somewhere that there are now mobile phone related ailments, be it addiction to eyesight infections to a whole more that I am sure research will continue to bring to our notice.

Then came the age of mobile applications. These really changed the face of how we used our mobile phones, they were given a new cloth, name changed and referred to as smartphones. With the introduction of the camera, high resolution screens and what have you, this handheld devices, became real companions to people. I wont be surprised if you are reading this post on your mobile handset...lol...I got you right?
Applications(apps) revolutionize the face of it and one of the apps that the whole world over, cant be done with is whatsapp.( Check below to download app on the various mobile platforms you have on). For fast communication purposes, this app is very popular and most used no wonder it was purchased for that hefty amount by another technology giant organization.

I am not here to talk to you about whatsapp. I chose the angle of where one will have to put up status on the already downloaded application. It is obvious and somehow conclusive that those status updates, is either expressing ones current state of being, whether referring to someone, him/herself,wishing someone well, telling someone the piece of mind, congratulating someone on a feat, you just name it.

I one day wasn't feeling too well and decided to relax at home for some rest. Around midday,  I took my phone to check my messages as I hadn't done that all morning following countless prompts. I went through them, responded to the ones that needed to be attended to, smiled at the ones that had funny notes, some had inspirational messages and all.

I later thought why don't I refresh my contacts on the application to see if any of my contacts had joined the bandwagon. That was done and now decided to go through the list, then something struck me. Each and every member on the contact list had one status update or the other associated to the name. It really varied from what lets me call this 'walks of talk'. The messages really trans versed from lets say archaeology to zoology, being it motivation,  birthday wishes, get well messages, expression of affection, celebration of a friend,  lover and so have you. I monitored this for a while and thought why don't I bring to my readers how my Timeline of whatsapp statuses looks like. If you find something similar to yours, don't worry your identity is safe with me.
KING WHATSAPP

Whew!!! I now get to my plot of this post. So I will be sharing the messages I wake up every morning or intermittently as and when I launch unto the application. These are randomly chosen spanning over 4-5 days. I am sure you are aware that the app has its own predefined ones that are on when you sign up unto the the application. I won't dwell on that even though a few use it either for convenience sake or chale they don't know where to click and effect that change.....laughing at this line....please don't kill me......LOL!!

Now lets ride;

Where there is a will, there is a way
Burn those that hurt you with forgiveness....TYLJ
Your eyes on me
If I could have my wish today
Minds are like parachutes, they only function when opened
I pray, you pray, we pray
While I breath, I hope...
Qui sera sera what ever will be will be
When you choose to love someone, you take them as is. Faults and all...Thank you Lord
Joy comes in the morning, I will wake up with mine as well as yours
Learning- Life is nothing without friendship
One Love
I don't do mediocre
Congratulations Roboo!
Got a phone now......whatsapp working Sorry guys
Happy birthday to my son Jason, you brought joy to my life

Appreciation of LIFE worth Expressing

In the early hours of Tuesday 11th March, 2014, I woke up having a lot to do spanning various things I was working on.

One of these duties was going through my old stuff checking up for some documents to be used for some applications for an Msc program.
In going through all those files and brown envelopes that contained most of my papers, I chanced on my hospital cards.

One thing that immediately struck me was the dates on those cards. The year in question was in 2008. The first card indicated 4/1/2008 which if I can recollect, was when I felt sick from some stomach upset from an out eating I had the day before. The second hospital card's date was 28/4/2008. This second card was issued at Hohoe Government hospital after I been involved in an accident a day before on the Kpando- Hohoe link steel bridge. Our car veered of the steel bridge somersaulting twice heading into the river the bridge was over. What happened next?....... The Grace of God I Believe.

Neither myself nor my boss I was driving with sustained any major injury and that was the my reason for the check up the following day for a thorough examination. The car though wasn't useable again as it was sold to scrubs a few weeks after.

As I have always insisted and expressed, I am an Appreciator of Life not because I am lucky, but I am blessed. I personally Believe it wasn't my time and still my time to leave the face of this earth till I fulfil what I am to do. Be dedicated to whatever faith you find yourself and be strong. Have the utmost faith and be steadfast. I am a Christian and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Before I go I will leave you with this food for thought :

Certainly, we cannot contend the reality of our thoughts and utterances working for or against us. In Swami Vivekananda’s words “Never think there is anything impossible…it is the greatest heresy to think so.”
I believe words have magical powers to heal and hurt… like the hands of our imaginations they have the ability to create memories for the events of our lives…while the hands of time cannot be turned.
With words we are able to exalt emotions and ridicule feelings. Maybe we would begin to appreciate the impact therein contains and begin to build where ruins have been made.
GREEN IS LIFE
More importantly never say to yourself its impossible; just when you are about to give up understand that impossible… with a change of mindset… can mean I'M POSSIBLE!!
Let LOVE reign. Thanks for stopping by my blog.

Thank You Stars

THANK YOU STARS
Some call it faith, some call it love
Some call it guidance from above
You are the reason we found ours
So thank you stars

Some people think it's far away
Some know it's with them everyday
You are the reason we found ours
So thank you stars.

That's the mood in which I find myself this day. I have been a life appreciator and will always be. It's wonderful to always wake up to a new day even in my current state. I believe it will work out soon and conditions will be very much better and flexible.

Opening short poem is from one of my favourite alternative singers Katie Melua. This track is from her "Piece By Piece" album which has the very popular track "Nine Million Bicycles"

Never give up so easily, now, later or anytime in the future. Strive and pursue to hit the top to be successful in whatever venture of your live.

I guess this accounted for this status update to my Facebook account.

"Instead of giving myself reason why I can't, I give myself reasons why I CAN" !!!

Stick to the plan and the right course even though it might seem unreachable. And as my good friend and forward thinker Ato Ulzen Appiah would say always VIM!!

I will see you all successful soon you reading this blog post and we will share this post as a chat topic.
