Just Learn!

This morning, I woke up thinking about how I was going to sort this printer issue out at the office.

I had a lot of data capturing and image documentation jobs to finish up and print them out entirely for my pending management meeting.

Trying to get the printer fixing person wasn't happening after countless efforts towards getting him over to the office to fix it.

After all the daily wahala and getting my trucks on the road for their various deliveries as well as pick up assignments, I got myself some good Ghanaian food to eat and relax. Thereafter, I decided to attempt fixing this thing by myself ready to face any consequence should any arise.

I picked up my phone and started to read along on what was to be fixed.

I got some level of knowledge on that but still felt I wasn't going to be able to fix the problem.

I later dropped my phone, did some data capturing manually then I decided to let me hit the internet once again if I'd be lucky to get some step by step information.

YouTube did the trick. I had to go through quite a number of videos where I had to skew my search keywords to be able to attract those exact, videos to guide me.

I got a few and they seemed interesting but I still told myself, guy, chill oo what if this thing is damaged, you'll be asked to respond to a query and attest to an incident report form.

So for a minute, I stopped and attended to other office duties. As time went by, it came back to me that I also needed the printer to get those other jobs done immediately. I came back to the desk to attempt sorting it out. My search couldn't get me the exact product but there was a twin product for which the same issue had a video tutorial on.

I watched for said video repeatedly for four times and decided no I'll do this.

Step by step, I tried this fix it issue on the printer.
Along the line, I had a few steps escaping me and had to return to the video to guide me through.

Eventually, I succeeded in solving the issue and the printer was back to its best performance.

The motive for this post isn't to tell anyone about being smart but to always approach solving problems by taking your time and learning. Learning doesn't end, it is a continuous act that one must always be ready to fall on when it is needed. Even when it isn't needed, you can learn something new to keep your brain active.

Also, there are many platforms you must recognize is available to use. With this one, YouTube helped me.

Words Words Words- Be Motivated.

If you are frequent visitor to my blog, I am sure you would have noticed some trend. I am passionate about being inspired and motivated. And with my background as a Christian I happen to get this naturally especially in my life and current situations, these words come to me as self motivator to move on.

I know the caption may seem obscure if I can say that but that was the only vocabulary that came to mind in putting down this post.

LIFE IS A GIFT TO BE GRATEFUL FOR

Trouble is a part of life. We live in a fallen world and are part of the fallen race. It is impossible to fathom the magnitude of the troubles that encompass the globe, or even a single breast. It often is overwhelming and even those who profess to believe in God sometimes forget that he is the source of help in the time of trouble.

When struggling with trials, sickness, and losses it must be remembered that God is sovereign and He is working in our life even when we cannot understand the unfolding of his providences. When trouble comes to a marriage, or parents are struggling with a rebellious child, it must be remembered that God's Word is our source of counsel and that God does not forsake them that seek him.

ALWAYS BE HAPPY

Satan may suggest your trouble is too great, that there is no hope; but God is the God of hope and it is to him that you must turn. The psalmist says "they that know thy name will put their trust in thee." True knowledge of God brings trust.

To understand God is all powerful brings you to believe nothing is too hard for him. To understand He is merciful gives you hope to call on him in your time of need. To understand he is faithful assures you He will keep his promises.

Even though it may tarry and seem not to be getting better, the good book always reminds us that in His own time, He maketh all things possible. Be steadfast and put your Trust in Him!!

That Dream - Where it All Starts!!

On a fine Saturday, I decided to talk a stroll of which place I

was going to not known. I then  dressed up and called a friend and decided to just hit town. We met at a central location and decided to hit one of the Traditional Suburbs of the capital Accra, Ghana.

We enjoyed our outlined walks through  the township, meeting and talking to young people and children alike. Though our appearance drew a few attention, people around saw it as normal and went ahead in their normal duties and livelihood.

As we continued in our quest to explore the township, we took a turn and there we were in a suburb called Jamestown. Aside this area known for its good dancing skills, they were also blessed with a few national soccer stars.

Little did we know that, Jamestown was endowed with the talent of boxing. As we took a few steps, there we saw a large gathering of people. So we decided to approach and there we were, An improvised boxing ring created in a circle form by both passer bys and onlookers.

It was a boxing tournament for children. My reason for this is that, at that young and tender age a dream is born and children at say age two are given the very basic lessons and rudiments of the sport.

The child is taught how to jab, hit a knock out blow, upper-cut punch, block and how to move step which all forms part of the basic things one needs to be better developed in the sport of boxing. So I asked who organised this and how often, I was shown the organiser of whom was also a young man and he told me this is where it all begins. I asked him again, why such young kids, he told me these are children who are convinced to be world champions of the sport when they are grown.

He gave me example of names that had begun like this and later became world champions and household names of the sport. Names like Azumah Nelson, Ike Quartey, Alfred Kotey, Braimah Kamoko aka Bukom Banku and many more that had to do street boxing battles.

All he told me in summary was, this is where the dream all starts (In the GA language).

The Sky is not the Limit- Reach For The Stars !!

This post comes in a way of me beefing up myself and dusting off the mishaps that has hit me all week.

This week begun with uncertainty, and followed with some string of disappointments from all angles which was really unexpected hence taking me a bit backwards.

Later in the day yesterday Thursday , 11th July, I felt so down in a way that I needed some hard music to blast out my state of being at that moment. I decided on a Will.i.am album and immediately his #willpower album came to mind as it hard some heavy beats that could really blast out of my surround sound speakers.

I know a few of my Christian friends will go like, where was your Bible, or why not a gospel music? Well I will understand you all but the fact of the matter is, at that particular moment, that was the album (music) that came to mind right away because I remembered that album had a song that really spoke some real LIFE talk issue. It was very motivating the first time I listened to it when I laid hands on that album.

FOOTPRINTS ON THE MOON

Fellow Christians no need to worry, our faith hasn't been lost yet. The Lord God is with me and I can also confidently say that there are much more circular artist who sing very good songs that motivates, encourages, appreciates life and every good thing that can be comparable to tagged gospel music and their artists. I am hoping this issue won't be dragged because I won't argue with anyone about this on any day for any reason. We all know the world in which we live in as well as various reason people have for choosing a genre or trade in order to either impact on the life of people or for material gains.

Back to my main plot for this blog.

Listening through the hard bumping beats, I felt a bit relieved as it seemed to have calmed my mind and was at the moment not thinking of all that had gone through my life the past week(s). Then the tune that really spoke to me on the very first time I listened to the album came on - "REACH FOR STARS" is the track. I won't talk much about the track because the lyrics in the tune should send you the message itself. This track really gave me some sudden hope and belief to immediately get out of my bed and be back to myself. I had it on replay for about 12 times. Every time it repeated, I felt I heard a new thing or line that was telling me to be strong and focused and push further.

I am sure you remember my previous post "Thank You Stars " . 

I am sure as they say, everything work together for good and the Almighty knows it all so I am not worried about these things now. I will always meet them disappointments as well as the folks that administer them.

I believe that you will now understand why I seem to love this tune from a circular artist. This time reading the lyrics should obviously cut across all walks of life and make you want to take your life a step higher. Well life they say is what you make of it, so if you think there is no need to get up, dust yourself up and take that VIM bold step in Reaching for the Stars, sorry because I want to. In a way this blog post is to motivate a fellow friend, colleague, acquaintance, dad, mum and all who might find themselves in one situation or the other which in effect has dampened their spirits and about to give up. It's not time to give up yet. The sky has always been the limit, that's what we have been told all these years but from the tune and lyrics above, there are footprints on the moon, so let's reach for higher things like reaching the moon, or the stars.

I am also climbing the ladder of self belief and self actualisation, so if you see me laughing all through, it might not seem that all is well with me, but I have decided not to brood over my inabilities, but to smile through them because obviously, I see succes, and light at the end of the tunnel.
