HOW FANS OF SARKODIE REACTED TO HIS #NEWGUY SONG

And so it happened one afternoon, with just a single tweet with photos of Sarkodie and Ace Hood sitting in a studio and another on set of a video shoot.

This drew some huge talk in the capital and some o[art of the country for which Sarkodie trended in twitter.

Down the line, and BOOM, rumours of Sark paying some huge amount to get the We Are The Best artist to collaborate to his new joint #NEWGUY. a lot of rumors and talk amidst speculation of all sorts speared all over social media, print media and the likes.

Well to cut it short, finally the tune has been released and it looks like the track is catching fire just a few hours of it's release.

I then decided to follow reaction from various platforms especially on social media on what people were talking and murmuring about in relation to the tune. So sit back and just read through the few I got so you can also make your judgement.

Interesting views I guess from all over to a point where comparisons are been made with other artists on the continent. Continue to check out more views and opinions below.

I am sure sure i can still get loads and load of opinions online about this new guy tune from Sarkodie but it will be great top know yours in the comments session.

If you still haven't heard of the song I am talking and blogging about, get the DEEZER app on your phone if you are on Tigo Network.

Letter To K.B. - My Tribute!!!

Dear Ghetto KB,

Death-
Our lives made pure
In another realm

GHETTO K B
I first heard your music on a radio station. Your song especially that particular one was unique and no wonder it was repeated couple of times before the show ended.

I then asked myself who was this artist that did this tune, the reason being that, this particular tune spoke a lot of sense and personally motivated me that very afternoon. I then went online to ask the host of that show and there a connection was made. I went ahead to download the tune and for the next few days, it was my joint to the envy of my siblings. It was on repeat all day.

I remember tweeting at you to salute you and your response was even more encouraging. In a short while, I had learnt the lyrics of this song.

I later found out that you had done other good tunes that were enjoying airplay all over the airwaves but to me this particular tune was my gig to cherish

For a tune that will have lines like;

"The truest form of love is how you behave towards them not how you feel about them"

"Closed in a room, my imagination becomes the universe and the rest of the world is missing out".

"So never give up, never give in and never stop trying. Don't ever sell out and if you find yourself succumbing to any of the above for a brief moment, pick yourself up brush, yourself off, whisper a prayer and start where you left off but never ever give up".

It obviously gave me the conclusion that, its the best rap song I had heard all year even though the year is still young.

Maybe I should have written this letter to you earlier for you to know one of your songs made a strong impact on me at a point where my life was in a downfall and being faced with a lot of decisions to make. It's also very sad that with all the talent your maker grated you, you didn't use it alone but shared it by contributing to a lot of people's music careers.

As young as you lived, I am sure your life was well spent because you always wanted to do this and make a mark. To me, this mark is made.

As we all can't question life, I have the strongest of beliefs that you will be resting in perfect peace. Shuttered myself and a couple of friends I had a chat with about you were of the view you should have stayed alive a few more years but the creator knows best.

I wish I could have met you before you left but it was never meant to be. Maybe just maybe, we might meet somewhere if it should happen. Enough tears we can't shed but I will personally be consoled by your LETTER TO RAP song.

Bless the tides that be. Demirifa Due
REST IN PEACE - GHETTO K B

Sadly yours,
BraQwophi

Thanks David Nikoi for the short piece on Death. Very much appreciate the gesture.

When a Song Gives You a Second Look at LIFE.

Music they say is the food to the soul. Well for me I think it goes even further.

I am a big fan of music where my interests spans very wide. It'll shock you the kind of music tunes I would die to have and listen to. Personally I am a big fan of listening to full albums than singles. I have mostly discovered much better tunes on albums than the very popular ones that might be running wild on the airwaves.

As a background to his post, I will attempt to lay out how two tunes gave me hope and the mindset to take a second look at life and how it could play out with a new framed mentality.

I had been involved in a trust and failure issue one afternoon and was very dejected. Trying to cut myself out, I launched my tunein app on my tablet to listen to some hard music, no matter the genre. I just needed something to fill up my mind for that moment. So randomly, I chose a station from the favorites and with my headphones on, a song being played was just about ending. A few tunes came by and the tune which I think did the trick for me was from Coldplay titled LOST. I had always known this song but never knew the title. Actually there is a rendition of this from BOB and its the tune that drew me to the original. I did a few searches online and I got the title and the lyrics. It has also been downloaded.

It ends and the very next tune that comes on was the tune from Labrinth feat Emile Sande and guess the title, BENEATH YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL. Initially I didn't know who did the tune so I recede out for my soundcloud application to track who did that tune. I later downloaded it and have been enjoying it.

After these two particular tunes I was really motivated to take another step and push further no matter what had happened. I got these tunes for myself and the next morning, there were on my playlist for the whole day. I am sure when I put down the lyrics of the two tunes you'll get to understand what I am driving at.

Motivation and upliftment can come in various forms, it could be from a speaker, your pastor, life lessons, friend, or even yourself. This time round I got it from the tunes of the music artists. No matter the genre of music they do, those tunes gave me some hope. I have always said this, I appreciate Life and I will cherish it in any form it comes.

Check out the Lyrics to Coldplay's - Lost below;

Just because I'm losing
Doesn't mean I'm lost

Doesn't mean I'll stop

Doesn't mean I would cross

Just because I'm hurting

Doesn't mean I'm hurt

Doesn't mean I didn't get

What I deserved

No better and no worse

I just got lost

Every river that I tried to cross

Every door I ever tried was locked

Ohhh and I'm...

Just waiting 'til the shine wears off

You might be a big fish

In a little pond

Doesn't mean you've won

'Cause along may come

A bigger one

And you'll be lost

Every river that you tried to cross

Every gun you ever held went off

Ohhh and I'm...

Just waiting until the firing stopped

Ohhh and I'm...

Just waiting 'til the shine wears off

[piano solo]

Ohhh and I...

Just waiting 'til the shine wears off

Ohhh and I..

Just waiting 'til the shine wears off

This song gave me an opportunity to take a second look at Life after my ordeal. I am motivated and encouraged to go on and make it work.

I hope you also don't give up and push on. Maybe this tune and post might help you take a second look at life as it helped me do.

#WhatJayZSaidToSolange - The Meme funside!!

Trust the new era of technological advancement to highlights every little thing into a massive spectacle. That notwithstanding, social media aside it's much tauted benefits can really create humour to the core no matter the situation whether a serious one or not.

It is obvious that during the weekend, one of the famous celebrity families had a brawl and guess where, in an elevator after an event. May be this is the tweet that sparked all the wahala after the incident happened. This tweet has since been deleted thanks to TMZ for this one.

On Monday, popular celebrity gist TMZ released a few post Met Gala footage in what appears to be Solange, Beyonce's younger sister wailing or better ranting at Jay Z in an elevator.
Immediately the footage was released, people took to the various social media platforms, to create either their own opinions of what might have caused that scene, asked questions or get answers to the scuffle exhibited by the footage.

Initially I decided to storify ( Check Out my STORIFY profile) the fun and excitement that went on especially that on twitter but after going through a few more of the tweets, I decided to blog this. My reason, the MEME funside that were blotted online really made me laugh my ribs out.

If you missed some of them, well don't worry, that's the reason for this post. Immediately after the footage was released, the hashtag that came up was #WhatJayZSaidToSolange. And in a few minutes, it was trending on the social media site Twitter.

Sit down, relax and enjoy my side of how things transpired on the platform. I look at the meme version of the brouhaha.

Thinking I had had enough, I chanced on this Vine clip of how many times Solange hit Jay Z, and that blew my head off (I am still alive anyway with my head on...lol). Watch this!

There are many more flying all over social media especially on twitter. Just follow the hashtag link I placed in the earlier paragraph and you'll get more of such meme being paraded.

I hope I made you crack up your ribs a little. Thanks for stopping by my blog once again.
